Dr. Mark Waldmire

Dr. Mark Waldmire received his BA degree from Sacramento's own CSUS. He tried a few diverse careers prior to deciding on Optometry. He received a BS degree in Physiological Optics from UC Berkeley in 1991 and his Doctorate from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1993. He has done externships at the Veterans Administration, where he helped Vets with everything from glasses to ocular pathology. Dr. Waldmire has extensive experience with difficult to fit contact lenses. He is well versed in fitting several types of bifocal lenses (soft and gas perm) and  high astigmatic corrections.

​He is a detail-driven person, attending to all the details that make your custom eyewear work perfectly for you.

   Dr. Karrin Vallin

Dr. Karrin Vallin received her BA degree from UC Berkeley in 1991 for Integrative Biology with an emphasis on Anatomy and Physiology. She received her BS degree in Vision Science from UC Berkeley in 1993 and her Doctorate from the UC Berkeley School Of Optometry in 1995. She has owned 3 practices, including an outreach clinic in North Highlands. She is well versed in detecting and managing ocular pathology. Dr. Vallin loves working with small children and enjoys seeing them for their first exam at 4 years old. 

She is involved with Rio Americano High School, Arden Middle School and Del Dayo Elementary School, where her 3 children attend.

Julio, ABOC Optician

Julio is a Board Certified Optican and knows the subtle nuances of style coupled with physiological optics. He will take time with you to make you look and feel your best. His knowledge of opticianry is detailed, timely and accurate.

Steve, Optical Manager

As a Navy veteran, Steve knows the value of caring and offering quality service to our patients. Steve is always ready to go the extra mile. He is adept at repairs and adjustments and will help you find just the right style and quality for you and your vision.

​Steve is our Senior optician and has been with Eye 2 Eye since 2006. 

Richel, optometric technician and communications

Richel is the newest team member of Eye 2 Eye, joining us in March 2023. She is experienced and seasoned in customer service. Her extensive history in working with the public has given her a kind attitude and keen problem-solving skills. She is always ready to help figure out what is best for each person's unique situation!
