Dr. Mark Waldmire

Dr. Mark Waldmire received his BA degree from Sacramento's own CSUS. He tried a few diverse careers prior to deciding on Optometry. He received a BS degree in Physiological Optics from UC Berkeley in 1991 and his Doctorate from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 1993. He has done externships at the Veterans Administration, where he helped Vets with everything from glasses to ocular pathology. Dr. Waldmire has extensive experience with difficult to fit contact lenses. He is well versed in fitting several types of bifocal lenses (soft and gas perm) and high astigmatic corrections.

Dr. Karrin Vallin

Dr. Karrin Vallin received her BA degree from UC Berkeley in 1991 for Integrative Biology with an emphasis on Anatomy and Physiology. She received her BS degree in Vision Science from UC Berkeley in 1993 and her Doctorate from the UC Berkeley School Of Optometry in 1995. She has owned 3 practices, including an outreach clinic in North Highlands. She is well versed in detecting and managing ocular pathology. Dr. Vallin loves working with small children and enjoys seeing them for their first exam at 4 years old.
She has been involved with Del Dayo Elementary School, Arden Middle School and Rio Americano High School, where her 3 children attended. |
Julio, ABOC Optician
Julio is a Board Certified Optican and knows the subtle nuances of style coupled with physiological optics. He will take time with you to make you look and feel your best. His knowledge of opticianry is detailed, timely and accurate.

Richel has been with Eye 2 Eye for 2 years, joining us in March 2023. She is experienced and seasoned in customer service. Her extensive history in working with the public has given her a kind attitude and keen problem-solving skills. She is always ready to help figure out what is best for each person's unique situation! If you talk to Richel, you will get the perfect blend of professionalism and personal care!
Brennen, optometric technician

Brennen started as an Intern and has been with Eye 2 Eye for 2 years, joining us in 2023. Brennen will help you check in and will also conduct some of the preliminary testing. He is very knowledgeable about insurance and is always ready to give the best service. Brennen is also a full time college student!

Matthew is our newest staff member and does preliminary testing as well as eyeglass adjustments and repairs. He can assist you in finding just the right pair of glasses and as an Optician Apprentice, is learning the nuances of opticianry.
